Since 1991, John Kritser, Sr. has led Yellowhouse Machinery on a path of growth in both customer experience and territory expansion across Oklahoma and Texas. 2024 marked a historic year for Yellowhouse Machinery as John (Bub) Kritser, Jr. was named President, stepping into a leadership role that continues the Kritser family legacy while charting a new path for the future. His father, John Kritser, Sr., now serves in a senior leadership capacity, as an advisor, while primarily focusing on facility enhancements.

A Shared Recognition of the Right Time

Reflecting on the transition, Bub shared:

“He recognized that it was my time to step into this role. It really made sense for this transition to happen because he was ready to kind of step back in more of an advisory role and to also focus on our facilities… We both recognized that it’s just time. We both felt ready for these new roles and it felt good to make that transition.”

John Sr. echoed the sentiment, expressing both pride and confidence in his son’s leadership:

“Working with Bub has taught me, first of all, that he can handle the situation. As a dad, I’m proud of what he’s doing because I know stepping aside, you always are a little leery of letting things go, but the more time we’ve had since the transition, I’ve let go and feel good about it.”

Investing in the Future of Yellowhouse Machinery

For Bub, stepping into this role has been about much more than a title change. It’s about shaping the company to better serve customers today — and for generations to come.

In recent months, Yellowhouse has:

Bub emphasized that these changes are rooted in a single focus:

“It’s all about the customer experience. That was really the idea with going through a lot of this brand refresh and revamp — to really define our core values and The Yellowhouse Way to get to that customer experience.”

John Sr.’s Legacy: Expanding the Yellowhouse Footprint

Under John Kritser, Sr.’s leadership, Yellowhouse was characterized by expansion, starting with 2 locations in Texas, to now 11 locations across Texas and Oklahoma.  This is most notably marked by:

Carrying Forward “The Yellowhouse Way”

Looking ahead, Yellowhouse will be grounded in our core values: Teamwork, Integrity, Perseverance, while remaining customer focused and company minded…The Yellowhouse Way.  The leadership transition between father and son embodies both tradition and innovation, honoring legacy while advancing forward to continually improve capacity to support customers across Oklahoma and West Texas.
